Anthropic said no to the Pentagon — and got banned for it

Anthropic filed two lawsuits against the Pentagon — and the first court hearing is March 24

Anthropic made history — filing not one, but two federal lawsuits against the US Department of Defense and the Trump administration. The first lawsuit, a 48-page filing in the US District Court in California, calls the government's actions "unprecedented and unlawful" and claims Anthropic's First Amendment rights were violated. The second, filed in the DC federal appeals court, directly challenges the Pentagon's "supply chain risk" designation — a label previously reserved for foreign adversaries like Huawei, now applied to an American AI company for the first time ever.

The first court hearing is scheduled for March 24 — just 8 days away. Anthropic is asking the court for an emergency stay to immediately block the blacklist while the case plays out.

NVIDIA GTC 2026 kicked off today in San Jose — the Super Bowl of AI. Jensen Huang is unveiling Feynman, a next-gen chip architecture the world has never seen, plus NemoClaw — an open-source platform for building autonomous AI agents that complete multi-step workflows end-to-end. Every GTC announcement becomes real tools within 6–12 months. This one looks bigger than most.
